Zoon ex minister Buitenlandse zaken M.Levens levert top prestatie

The Brookfield Properties’ 1225 Connecticut Ave. made history by being the first redesigned building in the northeast United States to achieve platinum status. Up until now, the gold level has been the highest standard for environmentally friendly buildings in the area.

The building was awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification.This ranks the building amoung the most environmentally friendly structures in the country.

“The LEED status can be attributed to the innovative mechanical engineering,” said Henry Doyle, Brookfield’s Director of Construction in the D.C. metro area.
